Well, writing the script was very enjoyable, and designing the images, but painting them was a lot harder than I expected. The issue is I've far more experience of painting realistic objects from references than of painting abstract concepts! I had a few material and technique troubles too, but although my paintings aren't as beautiful as I had hope, but hopefully they're consistent enough that I should be able to pull it together.
I've sent the images off to be scanned, and in the mean time, having had some feedback it's time to improve the appearance and accessibility of my site.
